Feature Plant - Philadelphus 'Belle Etoile'

This award-winning plant really makes an impact, and not only in the garden! When I picked it up from the nursery this week, I put it inside the cab of my truck to act as an air freshener. It smelled like bubble gum in my truck all day! At this time of year, it is covered in a blanket of fragrant white flowers with sweet maroon centres. It matures to 5-6’ tall, so it is easy to work into any garden. This would make a stunning informal hedge, or a feature plant in a long mixed perennial border. It is fairly low maintenance, but watch out because the deer can’t resist this beauty either.
