CRD Watering Restrictions
CRD Watering Restrictions
May 1 - Sept 30 2024
Early morning water demand, particularly at 4 am, 5 am and 6 am, is causing problems for our water supply infrastructure. High and sudden demands for water impact the system’s ability to maintain adequate flow, pressure, and high water quality standards.
To reduce peak demand for water on summer mornings, the CRD has made changes to the Regional Water Conservation Bylaw No. 4099.
Established trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable gardens may be watered by a hand-held hose with a shut-off device or hand held container, or micro/drip irrigation system, on any day at any time.
Established trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable gardens may be watered with a sprinkler on any day, but only during the designated watering times 4-10am and 7-10pm.
